Start shaping your future with hands on experience through the Macquarie Capital Summer Internship Program in Auckland. The Program offers students from any degree background the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity capital markets and advisory capabilities.

Our Summer Internship runs from 30 November 2026 to 12 Feb 2027 and offers you valuable practical experience to set you up for a successful career once you complete your studies.

Joining the Macquarie Capital team based in Auckland, you’ll work across a full spectrum of capital solutions from debt, equity, and private capital raising and financing, to investing our own capital to enable growth. You’ll be exposed to the workings of real deals and transactions, while learning new skills and building your professional network.

All participants are eligible to be fast-tracked for our Graduate Program.

What you offer

  • We welcome applications from students with all degree backgrounds in their second to last year of study (i.e. completing your studies in 2027).
  • No prior financial experience is required, just an innate curiosity and eagerness to learn.
  • To be eligible for this program, you must be either a New Zealand or Australian Citizen, or a New Zealand Permanent Resident.
