Support our Commodity Markets and Finance team who provide risk management, lending, financing and physical execution/logistic services across energy, metals, agricultural and carbon offsetting globally. The division also offers commodity-based index products to institutional investors.

What role will you play?

As a summer intern, you will discover all the possibilities of a career at Macquarie. You will work on projects that have a real-world impact whilst growing your skills and professional network. As part of this program, you will gain an insight into the financial services industry and build your skills and knowledge to kickstart your career.

You will have the opportunity to attend orientations to learn about our business groups and culture, whilst working alongside business leaders on projects. You will receive training designed to assist with improving your learning and development opportunities and participate in social events and interact with interns across Asia. You will get the chance to partner closely with supportive mentors and leadership team members.

What you offer

  • Currently in your penultimate year of study
  • Able to commit to a full-time internship from May-August 2026 (12 weeks) or part thereof
  • Strong numeric and analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin that allow you to liaise with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels with ease
  • An undergraduate or master’s degree student with a finance, economics or data analytics degree with strong academic performance.
