What role will you play? 

As an intern with Macquarie Capital, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients and partners make opportunity reality through the innovative advice and flexible capital solutions we provide.   

Accelerate your potential and be part of our Critical Minerals and Energy team in Toronto. When you join Macquarie as part of this 14–16-week internship, you will be joining a specific team based on your skills, experiences and interests. Our interns come from diverse backgrounds including finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, and geology and have excelled in their roles. Our comprehensive training programs will ensure you have the skills and knowledge to succeed in our environment. 

Leveraging our global capabilities, you’ll assist our clients in meeting their financial and strategic needs. You'll get hands-on experience with the full execution of advisory transactions, while also supporting the senior bankers in identifying and pursuing business development opportunities. 

What you offer 

  • You have a unique perspective. We want to hear it. This internship is for students with strong academic records and a broad range of extracurricular involvements, who is expecting to graduate between December 2026 – June 2027.  
  • You are a critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced and stimulating work environment with strong numerical skills and an ability to articulate your thoughts and ideas clearly.  
  • You like to collaborate with others and are comfortable building strong working relationships.  
  • You have an interest in financial services and the mining industry, and bring a proactive, resourceful, and positive attitude as well as a strong work ethic.  
  • You have a strong attention to detail and have experience and comfort in using Microsoft applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
