Macquarie Capital provides advisory and capital raising services to financial, corporate and government clients. Our Coverage and Solutions Team specialise in advising clients on strategic and financial issues including mergers and acquisitions, divestments, takeover responses, debt and equity financing, capital management and restructuring across a range of sectors. Our team has experience across a variety of industry groups including infrastructure, energy transition, healthcare, industrials, consumer and more. We are looking for interns to join our Frankfurt office for 3 months in 2026.

What role will you play?

As an off-cycle intern, you will join our team of generalists and experience first-hand how we are helping our clients, and partners realise opportunity. Your responsibilities could include analysing potential investment opportunities, financial modelling, creating approval papers, internal and external presentations, market analysis, and providing due diligence support. You will sit side by side experienced colleagues who will support you as you learn and build new skills. Subject to deal flow, you will also assist in the originating and executing of live transactions across various industry sectors as a part of our generalist team.

What you offer

  • You have an excellent academic background and are preferably in the final year of a business, economics, finance, engineering, or related degree
  • You are fluent in both German and English
  • You have strong analytical and numerical skills as well as a thorough grasp of financial concepts
  • You have previous experience in corporate finance advisory, Mergers & Acquisitions, private equity, transaction services, or leveraged finance
