Join our London-based generalist advisory team, where you will operate within a culture that prioritizes early responsibility and direct execution experience. Interns work as core members of lean deal teams, supporting M&A, capital raising, and strategic mandates across diverse sectors and geographies in the UK, Europe, and globally. We are seeking high-achieving, intellectually curious students who demonstrate technical rigor and a drive for excellence to join us for a 4 to 6-month internship beginning in September 2026 or January 2027.

What role will you play?

As an off-cycle intern, you will experience first-hand how we are helping our clients, and partners realise opportunity as part of our Macquarie Capital team. Your responsibilities could include analysing potential investment opportunities, financial modelling, creating approval papers, internal and external presentations, market analysis, and providing due diligence support, all whilst sitting side by side experienced colleagues who will support you as you learn and build new skills. Subject to deal flow, you will also assist in the originating and executing of live transactions across industry sectors including Software and Services; Consumer, Gaming and Leisure; Technology, Media and Telecommunications and more. 

What you offer

  • You are a student in your final year of university (bachelor or master), or a recent graduate
  • You have strong analytical and numerical skills that put you at ease with financial data, and are able to articulate complex ideas simply and summarise them effectively
  • You are results-driven, and perform well under pressure against tight deadlines, and are a proven team player, able to manage a wide range of responsibilities
  • You have an excellent academic background and fluency in English. Other European languages are a plus.
  • 6 to 12 months of prior internship experience in M&A or private equity is preferred
