Join our Credit Risk team based in either Sydney or Melbourne with responsibility for transactions supporting our Business Banking Division.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will work closely and collaboratively with senior credit signatories and business stakeholders to structure and approve transactions. You will work as part of a team that analyses new and existing loans for commercial banking clients, whilst working with business stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes and efficient turnarounds. 

In addition, this role will also provide opportunity to be involved in strategic initiatives to enhance our credit risk framework, such as transforming credit policies, dealing with regulatory change and monitoring portfolio quality and emerging risks.

What you offer

• Prior experience in credit risk management in commercial lending (cash flow and/or property-backed lending)
• Ability to interpret financial statements and critically analyse transactions
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate challenging conversations to deliver prudent but commercial outcomes
• Resilience, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
