Join our Global Surveillance Team who play a key role helping the organisation manage regulatory and conduct risk by overseeing how employee communications are monitored. We work closely with compliance, technology, legal and business teams to ensure monitoring remains effective, well controlled and fit for purpose.

What role will you play?

In this role you will support the strategy, governance and ongoing improvement of our electronic communications surveillance platforms. You will work with partners across the business to ensure monitoring tools meet regulatory expectations and adapt to new communication channels and technologies. You will also help strengthen controls, improve monitoring effectiveness and support reviews and enquiries.

What you offer

• 7+ years’ of experience in compliance surveillance, electronic communications monitoring, financial services compliance or related risk roles
• Experience working with electronic communications surveillance platforms and monitoring tools across email, chat, voice and collaboration systems
• Strong understanding of regulatory expectations for communications monitoring and record keeping within financial institutions
• A strong control mindset, with experience developing governance frameworks, procedures and documented controls
• Ability to work effectively with compliance, technology, legal and business stakeholders, supported by strong analytical and communication skills.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
