The Office of the Macquarie Bank CEO plays a vital role in supporting the Macquarie Bank CEO in protecting the interests of Macquarie Bank, the regulated Authorised Deposit-Taking Institution of Macquarie Group. Macquarie Bank operates across two Operating Groups, Banking and Financial Services and Commodities and Global Markets, which are supported by four Central Service Groups, Risk Management Group, Corporate Operations Group, Legal and Governance Group and Financial Management, People and Engagement.

What role will you play?

As a member of the team, you will play an integral part in supporting the Macquarie Bank CEO and Head of Office by providing analysis and insights on business performance and supporting the efficient and effective operations of the Office. You will work alongside the Macquarie Bank CEO Office leadership team and subject matter experts from Macquarie Bank’s diverse and global businesses.

You will be responsible for partnering with various teams across Macquarie to prepare insights and analysis to support the Macquarie Bank CEO’s engagements with the Board, senior management and external stakeholders, including industry and regulatory bodies.

In addition, you will also support the ongoing operations of the Office, including coordinating team initiatives and ensuring effective operational processes and controls by supporting risk and assurance activities and identifying enhancement opportunities.

What you offer

  • Proven experience within a finance, accounting, audit or business management role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Sound financial literacy skills with ability to interpret financial statements and convey business insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage senior leaders and articulate complex information clearly.
  • Strong risk mindset and attention to detail. High level knowledge of banking regulation is desirable.
