Our Digital and Data Business Operational Risk Management team works across all global regions to ensure Macquarie’s Operational Risk is appropriately addressed and managed within the Corporate Operations Group Digital and Data Divisions and is in line with our Group framework and associated policies, whilst facilitating the continued improvement in operational risk awareness and culture within Digital and Data.

What role will you play?

Reporting to the Head of Digital and Data Operational Risk Management, and working closely with the global Digital and Data teams, and the wider internal risk ecosystem, you will act as an advisor across all non-financial risks, supporting the Digital and Data Leadership Teams in making commercial and pragmatic risk-based decisions to facilitate risk improvements and efficiencies across the global teams.

You will foster an environment to enable risk culture to evolve and be embedded across Digital and Data teams at all levels to support Macquarie’s Operational Risk framework, whilst aligning risk management strategic direction with agreed risk appetites.

In addition, you will conduct global operational risk workshops and training with a focus on risk learnings from both within and outside the industry, and partner with Macquarie’s Risk Management Group and Framework owners to facilitate best practice adherence to Enterprise Risk Frameworks, ensuring consistency of risk management across the Group.

What you offer

  • Extensive experience in an operational risk role, with proven leadership capability
  • AI and DCAM certification preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of control processes and best practice in relevant controls
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to lead discussions at all levels, including business leaders and risk management colleagues
  • Ability to independently identify and analyse risks and develop effective and efficient strategies to manage risks; translated into clear and concise reports
