Join our platform delivery team, which enables Macquarie's global activities by undertaking the design and implementation of IT infrastructure related projects and support of the platform. As part of a global team, we deliver solutions and provide support for Macquarie's evolving database environment.

What role will you play?

As a database administrator, you will provide first-class relational database management systems support, be accountable for the technical delivery of database projects and database support, ensure that the database systems are built to Macquarie standards with existing fleet meeting our compliance standards, and ensure its optimum performance and availability. You will be involved in disaster recovery planning and testing, automation and database system builds and deployment.

What you offer

  • 3 years of relevant database administrator experience
  • Experience in MS SQL Server AlwaysOn, Sybase ASE and Replication Server (IQ and ECDA skills are an advantage)
  • An automate-first mindset
  • Customer-focused with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with shell scripting and PowerShell scripting (Ansible and Pester experience is an advantage)
  • Proficiency in Windows, RedHat Linux and/or Solaris.
