The Deposits and Payment Product team contributes greatly to a number of diverse and high priority initiatives within the rapidly growing deposits business. As the Card Scheme Compliance Manager, you will be an integral member of the Consumer Deposits team, taking accountability for the operational health and compliance of our card and digital wallet programs. You will apply your commercial mindset and risk expertise to ensure our products not only meet customer needs but also operate within the complex frameworks of both card scheme rules and our digital wallet partners, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. You will own and execute the compliance roadmap for the card and digital wallet ecosystem, acting as the subject matter expert on Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay while managing day‑to‑day compliance frameworks, risk controls, and operational processes. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to embed a strong risk mindset, translate complex requirements into clear guidance, and deliver concise, senior‑level reporting on compliance status, risks, and progress.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Ability to independently master complex information, with experience interpreting detailed technical specifications and/or scheme rulebooks and operational guidelines
  • You take full ownership of initiatives, demonstrating a high level of accountability in managing projects from initial analysis and planning through to successful implementation in a complex environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for investigating operational behaviour and a working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis is valuable 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical or regulatory topics to diverse audiences and build the collaborative relationships required to achieve results
  • Deep technical knowledge or operational experience with Mastercard/Visa and the card payments ecosystem, including concepts such as ISO 8583 messaging, token provisioning, 3D Secure and PCI-DSS is highly regarded.
