Join our fast paced and outcomes-focused team as a Communications and Engagement Manager where you will develop and deliver innovative and engaging content across a variety of channels for internal and external audiences.

This is a 12 month parental leave contract.

What role will you play?

You will play a key role in telling our technology and people stories to diverse internal and external audiences. Applying your experience of effective communication and engagement strategies, together with your ability to quickly build trust and influence others, you will work with leadership teams, business leaders and people managers to develop effective leadership communication and staff engagement initiatives. You will lead the delivery of our external Macquarie Engineering blogs and social media, support content development for our people stories while ensuring it aligns to our employment brand.

Your curiosity and analytical mindset will help you to analyse content performance for reporting as well as apply insights to increase cut through and identify opportunities for scale. You will also support our external speaking opportunities, applying sound judgement to balance opportunities with risk. 


What you offer

  • 5-8 years’ experience within Communications roles, together with an undergraduate degree in Communications or a business discipline
  • Corporate communications experience, including creating and delivering communication strategies to deliver business outcomes
  • Ability to connect and align internal and external communications objectives to maximise content across multiple channels.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional communication skills and collaborative spirit enabling you to work effectively across teams Divisions and Groups
  • Driven to achieve real business outcomes with outstanding attention to detail, a learning mindset, adaptability and self-motivation
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills desired, Adobe (Premiere Pro and iMovie is advantageous.
