What role will you play?

In your role as Cybersecurity Governance Manager, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to develop, enhance, and manage Macquarie’s cybersecurity governance and risk and compliance processes, systems and tools that are used across the Group. You will play a key role in ensuring Macquarie achieves its business goals securely by communicating with internal leadership teams, and subsidiary board risk committees to assist them in understanding and managing the cybersecurity risk profile.

Additionally, you will work with the Cybersecurity team that provide services that include threat intelligence, incident response, cyber assurance, security by design, information protection and privileged and user access management to assess risks and implement initiatives that enable us to meet regulatory and other expectations of us.

What you offer

  • A deep knowledge of and skills in cybersecurity governance and risk and compliance and strong passion for cybersecurity with knowledge and understanding of information security strategy and principles.
  • A track record of stakeholder management and delivery of complex pieces of work.
  • Familiarity with common information security frameworks (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001).
  • Technology knowledge across the cybersecurity domains, including cloud security.
  • Experience in Operational Risk, Technology, Internal and/or External Audit gained within a financial institution or professional services firm.
  • Ability to articulate cybersecurity issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related area complimented by industry qualifications (e.g. CISA, CRISC, CISM, CCSP, CISSP, GSLC, GNSA, SSCP) or relevant postgraduate degrees will be advantageous.
