Join the Commodities and Global Markets Trading team as a data engineer professional in the Power & Gas division. Our team is responsible for identifying, planning, and implementing data solutions for enterprise data using data modelling techniques by leveraging technology and data analytics. This would also involve creating supply and demand models focused on analysing power markets.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will utilize advanced modelling techniques (ex. regression, classification algorithms) to determine the relationship between energy market variables and maintain/develop data visualization dashboards with the evolving needs of the trading desk and broader research via Plotly Dash, Bokeh, and/or other Python based dashboards. You will also assist in the development of the team’s short to medium-term outlook and participate in discussions centered on power and gas. 

What you offer

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 3 years of experience building data solutions for advanced analytics.

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Python, SQL, R, and JavaScript.

• Proficient in data integration, data pipelines, and manipulating large data sets using SQL and Power BI.

• Ability to translate business requirements into data models and experienced with Dataiku and web-based applications.
