Our Data Management team in Sydney is central to executing Macquarie Asset Management’s data strategy. We transform objectives into actionable tasks, address daily data challenges, and build innovative data products that provide stakeholders with accurate and timely sustainability information.

What role will you play?

As a Data Manager, you will play a key role in designing and implementing solutions to structure unstructured data, enabling it to be governed effectively and leveraged for use by AI agents. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, and Analysts to advance data governance and develop data products that support sustainability and regulatory compliance. Your work will contribute to Macquarie Asset Manager’s global data initiatives, ensuring unstructured data is optimised for AI classification and consumption at scale.


What you offer

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience, with a readiness to take on greater challenges and a clear understanding of how your work supports organisational success
  • Knowledge of data management, governance, observability, warehousing, and business intelligence technologies, with a willingness to experiment and engage with these products hands-on
  • Practical experience with SQL or Python, coupled with a strong interest in understanding business needs and fostering cross-team relationships
  • A proactive approach to learning, with a desire to develop your skills through formal training and exposure to emerging technologies
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, essential for fostering innovation and flexibility within the team
