The Data Risk Enablement team supports the Risk Management Group by guiding data governance and data risk practices across our organisation. We work with stakeholders to strengthen data quality and help our business meet its enterprise data obligations.

What role will you play?

As a Manager within the team, reporting to the Senior Data Risk Manager, you will develop and maintain methodologies that support compliance with data, model and technology asset risk frameworks. You will collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards and Group Data Offices to embed clear, practical processes that help manage data and model risks. You will also provide training, advice and coaching to strengthen data risk capability across the business. 

What you offer

  • Previous experience in data governance, data management or operational risk management, with a solid understanding of data risk and risk frameworks.
  • Strong business analysis skills with high attention to detail and the ability to translate complex requirements into simple and effective methodologies.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to build relationships across the organisation.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
