Our Risk Management Group is dedicated to ensuring Macquarie meets its Enterprise Data Management obligations while improving confidence in the quality of our data. By collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across Macquarie's support businesses, we help bring critical data usages under governance and manage data risks effectively.

What role will you play?

As a Data Governance and Risk Manager, you will work closely with data owners to bring enterprise-critical data usages under governance. You will document end-to-end data flows, identify and assess data risks, and implement mitigating controls. Additionally, you will develop and maintain data governance and risk management methodologies, train stakeholders on data management framework obligations, and provide advisory support. Your role will also include identifying data gaps and recommending strategic remediation while coaching and mentoring team members.

What you offer

  • 5+ years’ experience in data management, data management or operational risk management preferably within financial services
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build rapport across all organisational levels.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, manage stakeholders, and deliver on multiple streams of work simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in data quality issue management 
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Data Management tools such as Collibra and experience with data profiling and data quality solutions such as Informatica IDQ or Dataiku is valuable.
