Our Data & AI – Framework Defensive Data team designs and oversees the enterprise frameworks and standards that guide the responsible use of data and artificial intelligence across Macquarie. We work closely with colleagues across the organisation to help ensure our data and AI practices align with legal, regulatory and community expectations.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will work with senior framework owners, business units, risk teams and technology partners to help develop practical and proportionate approaches to managing data and AI risk. You will contribute to guidance materials and framework documents, support stakeholder engagement, and assist with continuous improvement across areas such as data governance, AI governance, privacy, records management, information security and data sovereignty. You will also help coordinate framework review processes, track feedback, and support the rollout of new or updated standards. Alongside this, you will contribute to monitoring and reporting activities, analyse emerging data and AI risks, and participate in working groups and initiatives that support the Defensive Data strategy.

What you offer

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in data, analytics, risk, compliance, technology or a related field, with a keen interest in data, AI, governance and responsible technology use
  • Strong written skills, with the ability to produce clear and well‑structured documentation
  • Good stakeholder engagement capability and the confidence to work collaboratively across a range of teams
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a focus on delivering high‑quality outcomes.
