What role will you play?

Working closely with the Director of Product, you will be responsible for technology end to end for your respective technology platform and be accountable for the engineering strategy, roadmaps and processes including system design, development, CI/CD, production support and continual process improvement. You will foster and nurture an innovative culture that encourages lateral thinking and early risk escalation while taking a collaborative approach to problem solving.

In this role, you will engage with architects and business leads to understand and influence the business and technology strategies. With experience in a similar leadership role, you will have an agile mindset and an impressive software engineering track record across the technologies that detect and prevent fraud. We utilise the latest cloud technologies including SaaS, AWS and Google Cloud.

  • Extensive experience leading software engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of Java and open-source technologies, with experience in designing, implementing, and operating mission-critical, large-scale applications and platforms.
  • Strong experience in cloud-based technologies, including SaaS, AWS, and Google Cloud, with experience in managing and optimizing infrastructure.
  • Ability to develop and execute platform strategies, manage complex engineering initiatives, and optimise resources.
  • Collaborative and communicative leader, able to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passionate about building and managing scalable, maintainable, and high-performing platforms using agile methodologies.
