Our Product Design plays a critical role by delivering high‑quality, human‑centred experiences across a significant and complex portfolio, including our Originations, Adviser Online, and PropertyIQ platforms. We set the design vision, ensure consistency across journeys, and partner closely with Product, Engineering, and business teams to solve complex problems and create meaningful impact. This role is a key opportunity to help lead and elevate a talented design team—driving craft, culture, and strategic direction across a highly visible portfolio.

What role will you play?

You will lead and develop a high‑performing team of product designers, overseeing the full talent lifecycle and fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture. You will define a clear, long‑term experience vision and uphold exceptional design quality across a complex portfolio. You will drive operational excellence by embedding effective design processes, ensuring consistency across platforms, and contributing to the broader design system. You will utilise you strong stakeholder partnerships, advocating for design and aligning teams around the right problems. You will also champion innovation by guiding the team in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance creativity, quality, and efficiency.

  • Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing product design teams (10+ people) within a complex enterprise environment, preferably within financial services or a related, regulated industry
  • A natural and empathetic people leader with a passion for mentoring talent and a track record of building positive, inclusive team cultures
  • Deep strategic acumen with the ability to translate complex business goals and customer needs into a clear and compelling design vision
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence, build trust, and forge strong partnerships at all levels of an organisation
  • A forward-thinking mindset with demonstrable experience or a deep, practical understanding of how AI can be leveraged to support and accelerate the design process
  • A strong background in hands-on product design, with a deep appreciation for craft and a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in creating user-centered solutions for complex problems.
