Join our diverse and global Cyber Threat and Incident Response team as a Senior Engineer. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our team’s capabilities to detect, investigate and contain cyber threats.

Our mission is to enable Macquarie to operate safely within a challenging digital environment by detecting, investigating and responding to advanced cyber threats. We are made up of functional teams including Cyber Threat Defence Analysts, Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysts, Detection Engineers and incident responders, among others.

As an Engineer/Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing applications and managing platforms that support the mission of Cyber Threat and Incident Response function. You will have a strong understanding how teams in Cyber Threat and Incident Response use our technology platforms and services work, providing our teams with a deeper understanding of the threat landscape.

What you offer

  • Proven experience collaborating directly with technology platform users and services to understand their operations, enhance their capabilities and translate manual work processes into automated workflows.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in a range of technical areas, with a deeper expertise in one or two of these areas: application development and support (Python preferred), fully automated build processes, CI/CD workflows, infrastructure services (networks, operating systems, cloud services), security services (firewalls, endpoint security, email security, authentication services), Amazon AWS and Kubernetes, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Passionate about solving security challenges
  • Experience with one or more of SIEM, UEBA, TIP, or SOAR platforms
  • Excellent listening and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships between a complex set of global stakeholders and with global agile teams.
