You will be a key member of the Entity Management and Control team in Sydney, sitting within the Commodities and Global Markets Finance team. Commodities and Global Markets provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and commodities

What role will you play?

In this interesting and rewarding role, you will support the Futures division and focus on delivering value to key business and finance stakeholders. You will also support the Entity Management and Control team with performing month end financial control, financial and management reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Your responsibilities will include performing month end accounting, preparation of financial and management reporting, and producing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand business trends and drivers, and to ensure these are correctly reflected in finance systems. Our complex business will have an increased focus on governance and assurance at a legal entity level.

What you offer

  • Commerce or Accounting degree and professional accounting qualifications
  • 2+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably within financial services or professional services
  • Strong attention to detail, with a risk and control mindset
  • Willingness to take ownership for timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pick up concepts quickly, having an adaptable and agile mindset, with a genuine interest in understanding the Futures business and operating environment at Macquarie.
