Join our Commodities and Global Markets team in Finance, which supports product accounting, analysis of trading activities, reconciliations to the general ledger and balance sheet substantiation within Macquarie Group located in Jacksonville, FL but supporting a global business.

What role will you play?

Your role as a Staff Accountant on the Commodities and Global Markets Finance team has elements of daily and monthly deliverables, with a month-end closing period lasting for three business days. In this role, you will use your strong reconciliation and accounting skills, ability to navigate through complex infrastructure, and resolve issues independently. You will work on complex accounting investigations, audit requests, and ad hoc issues, and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure accurate reporting.

What you offer

  • Accounting background with 2+ years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, or Accounting, ideally in the Financial Services Industry
  • Experience in reconciliations, complex general ledger systems, posting accounting manual journals, and accounting for financial products
  • Extensive use of ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or other large general ledger platforms
  • Drive Change initiatives and make processes more streamlined
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Excel with the use of formulas, pivot tables, etc.
