Our Global Operational Risk Team, based in Sydney plays a vital role in providing guidance to the business to support management of their material risks and deliver oversight, assurance, challenge and insights on Macquarie’s risk profile.

Prior experience in a risk management function, assurance or internal/external audit role, gained within a financial or professional services firm.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders and build effective working relationships
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive and constructive approach to problem solving, with the ability to multitask, present new ideas and work both independently and collaboratively

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
