The Finance and Tax Divisional Data Office is responsible for driving the effective embedment of data risk management practices across the Finance & Tax division. This includes partnering with stakeholders to build appropriate data capabilities while providing practical, on-the-ground support to integrate these into day-to-day processes. Through this approach, the team enables consistent, proportionate management of data risk aligned to business priorities and existing operational processes.

What role will you play?

As a finance business analyst with a passion for data, you will play a critical role in embedding best practice in data management across the Finance & Tax division’s data transformation initiatives. You will be working with subject matter experts at all levels, supporting strategic data sourcing, optimising data processes, facilitating increased business insights, enhancing data quality and reducing data risks and costs. 

What you offer

  • Finance and/or Tax professional with a passion for data and how it is used. 
  • A tertiary degree in Business/Commerce and 3+ years’ post-qualification experience in the financial services or investment banking industry. 
  • Conceptual knowledge of data architecture, systems and supporting processes. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to people from non-technical teams. 
  • Previous experience with data management frameworks (governance). 
  • Commercial experience with at least one of the following technologies will be viewed favourably: Power BI, Alteryx or other analytical and automation tools. 
  • Tenacity, agility and a proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment.
