Our Sustainability Reporting team within the Financial Management, People and Engagement Group is committed to meeting Macquarie’s Sustainability Reporting data, reporting, and analytical needs. As part of our global finance team, we are responsible for advancing sustainability reporting to address evolving commitments and obligations in Australia and globally. What role will you play?

As the Financed Emissions Lead, you will oversee the ongoing development and implementation of Macquarie's financed emissions methodology in collaboration with our operating groups, ensuring that it aligns with industry standards and best practices. You will also be involved in providing subject matter expertise in greenhouse gas accounting for financed emissions and drive transformative process change to enhance Macquarie's sustainability reporting capabilities.
Additionally, you will engage with a diverse group of stakeholders to support Macquarie’s climate-related strategy and ensure compliance with mandatory sustainability reporting requirements. Finally, you will monitor market developments in sustainability, climate policy, and reporting frameworks to ensure Macquarie remains at the forefront of sustainability initiatives. 

What you offer

  • Experience in ESG and sustainability reporting, especially with financed emissions
  • Background in an analytical or quantitative discipline (e.g., accounting, finance, engineering, climate science, economics)
  • Experience implementing process changes and driving transformation in a complex evolving environment
  • Skilled in analysing data; proficiency in mathematics and quantitative methods is highly regarded.
