Our team within Macquarie’s Financial Management, People and Engagement Group is dedicated to providing robust financial control and advisory services to Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) in Luxembourg. We play a critical role in managing the financial health and compliance of MAM’s legal entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to accounting standards. Our work involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including heads of Financial Control, division heads of Asset Management businesses, and external auditors.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our advertised location.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial control framework, including managing monthly profit and loss, and balance sheets. You will resolve issues and manage queries from the business and colleagues, understand the impact of business flows on financial statements, and liaise regularly with other finance areas. You will interact closely with offshore Finance teams, fund accountants, and the legal entity control team, undertake and deliver ad hoc projects, review financial statements, and oversee Luxembourg regulatory reporting. You will also support ongoing daily activities and contribute to the development of finance functions.


What you offer

  • 6+ years of experience in Financial Accounting, financial control, or external audit
  • Postgraduate accounting qualification, preferably ACCA/ACA/CPA
  • Strong knowledge and experience of regulatory and accounting standards, including reviewing financial statements under Lux GAAP, Luxembourg regulatory reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in dealing with various stakeholders in different locations
  • Self-starter with a strong control mindset and the ability to be "hands-on"
  • Ability to manage stakeholders in different time zones and offices
