Join our Data Division leadership team in Sydney as Head of Data Enablement and Enterprise Services, to play a critical role in advancing and aligning our data capabilities across Macquarie Group. Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, this transformational role will see you utilising broad-based expertise and leadership capabilities to support ongoing evolution of our approach to data insights, learning and development, knowledge management and strategy alignment.

What role will you play?

As the Head of Data Enablement and Enterprise Services, you will lead the delivery of key services, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration within the Corporate Operations Group and across the business-aligned Data teams. You will provide strategic direction and leadership to teams responsible for:

  • Insights and Reporting: Provide oversight and support to the team that develop and manage strategies for data insights and reporting that support decision-making and strategic planning across the organisation.
  • Learning and Development: Spearhead initiatives for learning and development in data literacy and data-driven decision-making, ensuring all employees have the knowledge and skills to leverage data effectively.
  • Knowledge Management: Oversee the development and implementation of knowledge management systems to facilitate the efficient sharing and management of data knowledge across the bank.
  • Technical Writing: Lead a team of technical writers to create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of our data processes, systems, and standards.
  • Community Engagement: Foster a vibrant data community within Macquarie, promoting collaboration, innovation, and best practices in data management and usage.
  • Strategy Alignment: Ensure all enterprise services for data are fully aligned with Macquarie's overall data strategy, contributing to the achievement of strategic goals.

What you offer

  • Proven leadership experience in managing diverse teams within the data domain and within the Financial Services sector
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and align strategic initiatives with organisational goals within a matrixed organisational structure
  • Strong background in insights and reporting, knowledge management, and/or learning and development related to data
  • Ability to partner with business leaders in an advisory capacity to provide constructive challenge and to foster engagement from business leaders with group-wide initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
