What role will you play?

In this role you will lead Technology Business Operational Risk Management, providing independent oversight and strategic guidance across technology infrastructure, cloud, cyber security and physical security. You will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Security Officer and senior leaders to strengthen risk management outcomes, improve control effectiveness and address emerging risks, while providing clear and constructive challenge.

You will own the Group Technology and Security risk profile, delivering forward-looking insights to senior executives and governance forums, and contributing to Board and regulatory reporting. You will also support responses to significant technology incidents, including root cause analysis and ensuring sustainable remediation of control weaknesses.

As a leader, you will guide a high-performing global team and drive strategic risk initiatives across areas such as software development governance, artificial intelligence risk management and control automation, shaping a modern and business-aligned technology risk function.

  • Ability to lead a team that supports Group Technology and Security in meeting operational risk management requirements, working closely with colleagues in the Risk Management Group and Internal Audit
  • Broad knowledge of technology including cyber security, public cloud and modern development practices
  • Ability to build a strong understanding of complex technology environments to provide clear risk insights and advice to senior leaders
  • Ability to oversee risk management activities and improve awareness and maturity of risk and controls across teams
  • Proven senior leadership skills with experience mentoring global teams and fostering a collaborative, inclusive and learning-focused environment.
