An opportunity has arisen in our Non-Financial Risk Assurance team to lead the Global Execution pillar, responsible for executing risk-driven and framework assurance reviews across all of Macquarie’s material non-financial risks.

What role will you play?

As a Director, you will oversee the execution of the rolling 12-month NFR Assurance Plan. You will report to the Head of NFR Assurance and Analytics. Your global team will perform risk-driven and framework assurance reviews over material non-financial risks and regulatory focus areas. With your support, the team identifies issues, corresponding actions, and opportunities for improvement, along with driving initiatives to support continuous improvement and business-oriented results. As a team lead, you will have day-to-day people management responsibilities across a global team.

What you offer

• Demonstrable experience leading assurance or audit functions/teams and managing multiple staff
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate at senior levels
• Workload management and leadership presence, to effectively manage the annual assurance plan and enable the team to ensure timely completion of assurance reviews
• Inquisitive and analytical mindset with the ability to proactively identify and analyse problems and propose viable solutions
• Prior experience dealing with laws and regulations is advantageous.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
