As trusted partners to senior leaders and stakeholders, the team craft clear, compelling communications that drive strategic alignment, enable change, embed culture and enrich the employee experience. From enterprise-wide transformation to leadership messaging and employee engagement, we make impact by shaping the narrative and storytelling, making the ‘complex’ simple and inspire action.

This role will be offered as a 12-month contract.

What role will you play?

Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications & Engagement, you will lead strategic internal communications across our Personal Banking, Business Banking and Wealth Management divisions. You will shape the divisional narrative to elevate the division’s impact through group wide storytelling initiatives and rituals.

You will collaborate with the rest of the Internal Communications & Engagement team, the wider Employee Experience team and People & Culture Business Partners to develop an integrated and consistent approach to delivering our employee experience. Acting as a trusted advisor with senior stakeholders across the channel and broader business, you will maintain a position of influence.

You will also design and write communications for all channels, including Slack, that are clear, efficient and impactful, whilst continually seeking to innovate and improve the delivery and experience of internal communications using the latest available technology and tools.

  • Significant experience in leading strategic internal communications in fast-paced environments, with a strong bias to delivery
  • A proactive, agile approach with a learning mindset
  • Strong background in writing and editing, with an ability to simplify complex context and topics for diversed audiences, while preserving tone of voice
  • An ability to build effective and constructive relationships, and collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • On-the-ground experience in using internal social platforms (we use Slack), events and videos as core communications channels.
