Join our high performing and fast paced Infrastructure and Energy Capital division, where you will gain exceptional exposure to the principal investments side of Macquarie’s Asia Pacific business. The team invests Macquarie’s balance sheet into infrastructure and energy projects and companies, combining deep technical expertise with flexible capital solutions to deliver impactful, future focused assets across Digital, Energy Transition and Social infrastructure sectors.

What role will you play?

You will responsible for supporting the origination of new investment opportunities across infrastructure and energy sectors, lead elements of financial analysis, business diligence and transaction structuring, helping shape investment theses and execution strategies, assist in arranging debt and equity financing, engaging with lenders, investors and advisors across the region, prepare syndication materials, internal credit submissions, and investment committee documentation to support approval processes.

Part of your responsibilities will include building and refining buy side financial models, assessing valuations, return profiles, risks and scenario outcomes, conducting in depth market research, competitor analysis and regulatory reviews to inform investment decisions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior team members on ongoing mandates, client interaction and new business development, engage with internal stakeholders including legal, operations and corporate functions to facilitate seamless deal execution and reporting.

  • 1-3 years’ experience in infrastructure investment management gained through infrastructure funds, private equity, investment banking or similar transaction driven environments
  • An outstanding academic record in finance, economics, engineering or a related discipline
  • A strong understanding of buy side financial modelling and investment fundamentals
  • Highly numerate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the polish to represent Macquarie professionally at senior levels
  • A flexible, entrepreneurial and innovative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment
  • Candidates with backgrounds in management consulting or accounting will also be considered.
