What role will you play?

As a Lead Engineer, you’ll bring significant software and data engineering experience and apply best practices as you develop new platform features, data pipelines, and solve a varied range of technical problems. You will also play a critical role with our operational and business stakeholders. You’ll have excellent Python knowledge to write, review, and test code as well as excellent solution architecture, design, and engineering leadership skills.

  • Previous experience supporting or leading a team of developers
  • A track record of project ownership, successful delivery, and working with stakeholders
  • Excellent hands-on coding ability in Python and able to review Python code
  • A broad knowledge of technical solutions, design patterns, and code for medium/complex applications deployed in a clustered environment
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
  • Strong experience with SQL, authoring complex queries, and Data Definition Language (DDL)
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Working knowledge of API-based integration for modern systems
  • Experience querying big data, using tools like Redshift, Hive, Spark, Presto, etc.
  • Experience with Data Pipelines Orchestration tools like Airflow or Argo Workflows
  • Experience with Source control in Bitbucket or similar
  • Exposure to security concepts and best practices
  • Experience working in banking or energy trading environment is highly regarded.
