Join a team that provides corporate governance and entity management support for the Real Assets division of Macquarie Asset Management in Mexico City with frequent interactions with the Real Assets teams in the US and Brazil in connection with investments across Latin America. We support Legal and Corporate Governance professionals and work closely with internal teams, external advisors, and global stakeholders to support effective governance and regulatory compliance.

What role will you play?

In this role you will support governance activities for funds and portfolio companies including managing board, committee, and entity documentation, maintaining corporate records and statutory registers, coordinating regulatory filings, and supporting company secretarial activities. You will also help facilitate corporate approvals, support entity formations, restructurings, and wind ups, coordinate director, officer, and authorized signatory changes, support cross-border transactions and governance initiatives, manage know your customer requirements and legal vendor invoice processes, and work with internal teams and external advisors to ensure governance activities are delivered accurately and on time. You will also have the opportunity to work across a range of investment strategies and Latin American jurisdictions, partner with regional and global stakeholders on governance initiatives and transactions, and continue to develop your corporate governance expertise as your responsibilities grow over time.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience in a law firm, professional services firm, financial institution, and in house legal or governance function with Mexican Public Notary experience preferred 
  • Practical experience in corporate governance, entity management or company secretarial activities required with exposure to investment funds, asset management, or regulated entities and experience in Latin American jurisdictions being preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English required for effective daily stakeholder communications across regions and time zones 
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgement in governance execution with an understanding of risk, controls, and compliance expectations within a regulated organization is essential
  • Learning and growth mindset with willingness to seek feedback and strong digital fluency, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with, or willingness to implement AI tools to improve efficiency and quality (e.g., Co-Pilot, Harvey AI).
