Supporting the Macquarie Capital business, our Financial Planning and Analysis team is responsible for presenting on the performance of the business with key responsibilities including analysing, reviewing, and discussing information with relevant stakeholders.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will be responsible for the monthly reporting and presentation of Macquarie Capital’s operating expenses, providing a detailed expense analysis and report while being involved in strategic data management reporting projects. You will conduct the preparation of Macquarie Capital’s forecasting deliverables across the cost base, modelling forecast outcomes and sensitivities. In addition, you will help drive, design and deliver targeted analysis that gives meaningful insights into business performance. You will also be responsible to help drive and implement process efficiencies and operational excellence. 

You will have close interactions and present to senior management across Macquarie Capital from business, operations teams, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and the other support functions which include Finance, Group Treasury, Risk Management and Central support teams.

What you offer

  • Tertiary degree in Accounting or similar
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • 2-3 years’ of experience in an analytical role within a complex and fast-paced environment balancing competing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong relationship management skills
  • Experience working with PowerBI is preferred but not essential.
