Join our highly rated Equity Research team in Tokyo and help further expand our market reach across Asia. You will be supporting senior analysts covering the Consumer, Energy Transition and EV chain sectors in an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.

What role will you play?

As a member of a high-performing team, you will focus on updating and maintaining industry databases, managing market analysis and client presentations and briefings. You will engage directly with domestic, regional and international clients to actively participate in client meetings, events, industry specific discussions, conversations with corporates and support sales and client requests.

In addition, you will also provide support on maintaining financial models, writing, previewing and reviewing quarterly results, sector updates and thematic reports and have the opportunity to generate new ideas, participate in coverage initiation on new companies and help build our client base and revenue over time.

What you offer

  • A tertiary qualification in a finance, accounting, economics or similar discipline
  • Strong finance and accounting skills and well-versed in financial concepts like ratio analysis, valuation techniques and financial modelling
  • Prior experience in a similar role gained in fast-paced financial institutions including sell-side research, buy-side research, investment banking or similar environments
  • Exceptional communication skills in Japanese and English with the ability to build relationships with large corporate clients and internal teams across locations
  • Self-motivated with an analytical mindset and a passion in equity research, with a drive to succeed and willingness to learn.
