Join our Data and AI Operational Risk team based in Sydney, who play a key role supporting our Data and AI division within the Corporate Operations Group globally. We help manage their risk profile through the continual refinement and implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework.

What role will you play?

As a member of our team, you will work closely with global Data and AI teams and the wider internal risk ecosystem. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping to manage operational risk outcomes, drive improvements, and deliver efficiencies in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management Frameworks and policies. You will support the Data and AI teams and the extended ecosystem of Records and Data Officers across Macquarie in uplifting risk culture, conducting monthly risk reporting and by facilitating regular Risk and Controls Self-Assessments. You will also initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding anticipated and emerging issues in relation to design and embedment of Data and AI Risk Frameworks for Macquarie Group.

What you offer

  • 5 years+ experience in operational risk management, ideally within financial services or technology environments, would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of risk frameworks, policies, and reporting processes
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across diverse teams and regions
  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach
  • Proven analytical skills and a keen attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
