Join our Hong Kong based Asia Finance team, which is responsible for the financial affairs and Financial Reporting obligations for Macquarie’s Asia legal entities, and ensures high standards in deliverables, correct and adequate disclosures, timely submissions and handling external audit of subsidiaries accounts. You will have diverse responsibilities and be challenged on a daily basis whilst being part of a team that supports flexible working arrangements to suit your needs outside of work.

What role will you play?

You will be responsible for the review/preparation of full year accounts for Asia regulated legal entities, review/preparation of regulatory returns for submission to the external regulators, whilst ensuring integrity of financial information. You will assist with projects and associated activities such as identifying operational process enhancements, automation and implementing changes to reporting requirements, as well as driving risk management initiatives, including uplift of controls and internal assurance review.

By applying your sharp finance and accounting acumen, you will understand and apply rules, interpretations, and assumptions around reporting requirements, and contribute to ensuring a strong and robust control framework. 

What you offer

  • Bachelor of accountancy or finance with a professional accounting qualification like CA or CPA
  • 6-10 years' experience in financial accounting, financial control, audit, legal entity control, or regulatory reporting in a financial institution
  • High attention to detail and the confidence to flag potential issues and strong numerical and abstract reasoning skills
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders across varying levels of seniority
  • Previous experience as a manager coaching or leading junior staff will be an advantage
  • Previous experience as an Auditor or Financial/Legal Entity controller will be an advantage
  • Previous experience relating to SFC regulatory reporting will be an advantage.
