What role will you play?

As a Principal Engineer, your role will be a blend of Principal Engineer, Technical Architect and people manager. Our Principal Engineers own the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the team owned product and platforms. As well as technology ownership, you will also be involved in the hiring and technical development of the engineers on the team and writing code for multiple services, creating and reviewing designs.

You will identify and simplify complex services and processes and explore new technology and vendor capabilities that greatly benefit the team and clients. You will lead the design and implementation of engineering initiatives across multiple teams and/or platforms and hire and mentor the engineers in your teams.

What you offer

Strong technical background (preferably Java based)
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with proven success at running complex engineering initiatives
Product company experience with an understanding of how to build great products in an Agile environment
Solid understanding of how to build scalable, maintainable and performant web applications
Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organisation.
