Our team enables secure service-to-service authentication at enterprise scale. We architect machine identity systems and authentication integration layers across Macquarie, ensuring every service, API, and workload across 31 markets can authenticate securely without human intervention. We design how workload identity integrates with human IAM, cloud platforms, and API gateways to create unified zero-trust architecture.

At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

You'll own platform adoption and delivery for machine identity at Macquarie. You'll shape what gets built, when, and why, working directly with application teams and platform consumers to understand what they need, then sequencing delivery so the platform scales ahead of demand. You'll sit at the intersection of engineering, cybersecurity policy, regulatory obligations, and business stakeholders, turning architectural vision into measurable delivery outcomes that move adoption, reduce risk, and satisfy audit.

What you offer

  • Experience owning product backlogs for infrastructure, platform, or security products - defining priorities based on risk, customer adoption, and engineering capacity; you measure success by whether teams adopt your platform, not by how many features you ship
  • Ability to explain why platform security matters to leadership, navigate regulatory stakeholders, negotiate scope with engineering leads, and present roadmaps to senior leadership; you influence through clarity of direction, not technical depth
  • Understanding of the identity domain, for humans and applications, well enough to make informed priority calls and you know when to partner with engineers on implementation detail
  • Experience running structured delivery including sprint planning, stakeholder alignment, dependency management, and clear acceptance criteria; you unblock teams and remove ambiguity
  • Experience defining success metrics that matter for this team - platform onboarding velocity, application migration coverage, credential elimination rate, risk acceptance reduction and use data to drive prioritisation
  • Experience engaging directly with platform consumers (application teams, cloud platform teams, security operations) as your primary customers; their adoption is your scoreboard
  • Experience in regulated financial services, cybersecurity risk governance, or technical product ownership in infrastructure/platform teams is highly regarded
We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
