Join Macquarie’s Risk Governance team in the Risk Management Group, Central Division. You will play a key role in producing insightful and decision-based risk reporting to a senior stakeholder group which includes Macquarie’s Senior Management, Board and its Committees.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Manager in the team, you will play a lead role in the preparation and review of internal risk reports and external risk disclosures to ensure their effectiveness and accuracy where appropriate.

You will play an integral part in contributing to a range of governance activities and change initiatives to support key elements of Macquarie’s Risk Management Framework across all financial and non-financial risk types, including in relation to our Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Management Strategy. You will work alongside stakeholders across various functions and will have the opportunity to build networks across Macquarie’s Risk Management Group.

What you offer

  • Experience in risk management, legal, banking or financial services, with an understanding of the banking and financial services regulatory environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with demonstrable experience in managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to consider the bigger picture.
  • Ability to analyse, evaluate information and draw key insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, previous experience in risk reporting is advantageous.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
