Join our Macquarie Asset Management Business Compliance Team and play a key role supporting Compliance advisory to a large scale, global asset manager, providing clients with access to a diverse range of capabilities and products across infrastructure, real estate, credit, fixed income, equities and multi-assets.

This is a 12 month parental leave cover.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Manager, you will support the Macquarie Asset Management Business Compliance Lead, interacting with senior business stakeholders across front office and business enterprise teams to assess and liaise with regulators on any compliance incidents and provide advice on a broad range of regulatory issues, policies, key regulations and new product proposals.

You will respond to investors conducting diligence on managed funds, manage and respond to regulatory inquiries and analyse the application of regulatory and obligations and develops to the business and partner on required implementations.

In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring and testing of key controls and processes, draft, update and implement Compliance owned policies and procedures, prepare Compliance Committee and Board paperers and complete regulatory findings.

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Compliance role in an Asset Management or Banking environment or have relevant Risk Management/Legal experience.
  • Strong understanding of Compliance Risk Management within the Australian regulatory environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Practical approach to problem solving and decision making, with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
