Our Indirect Tax team supports our businesses across Australia and New Zealand in meeting their indirect tax obligations. You will join a team focused on delivering high‑quality tax reporting while driving transformation across processes, systems, data strategy, and the use of emerging technologies.

What role will you play?

You will provide indirect tax reporting, accounting, and operational support to Macquarie’s operating businesses and central functions, ensuring robust processes and controls are in place. You will partner with Finance teams on indirect tax matters, helping Macquarie meet it's reporting and compliance requirements, including monthly GST processes. You will also contribute to the execution of data and transformation initiatives that enhance indirect tax processes and systems.

What you offer

  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, ideally in Commerce or Accounting, with further accounting or postgraduate study advantageous
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an in‑house Finance or Tax environment or within professional services
  • Proficiency with business applications such as Excel, Power BI, and accounting systems, with experience in SQL or working with databases and data analysis considered valuable
  • Experience managing multiple deliverables simultaneously and collaborating with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative environment.
