The Operations Department is responsible for providing business-aligned trade support services such as middle office, trade finance, trade validation, trade documentation and settlement support to the Commodities and Global Markets and Macquarie Capital Groups. The team also provides group-wide operations services to Macquarie such as regulatory reporting and client lifecycle management, payments and treasury support and reconciliation services.

Reporting to the Senior Manager for Commodity Markets and Financing Operations in Asia, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for providing support on key operational elements on behalf of the Macquarie Physical Commodities business in Singapore and its customers. The Commodity Markets and Financing Business at Macquarie is a growing sector and this role presents an opportunity to be part of an evolving and growing function. 

What you offer

  • Working experience of Physical Commodity trading support, ideally within the banking sector
  • A keen interest in Commodity and Trade Finance markets
  • Understanding the importance of controls and procedures in the operations area and lifecycle of a product as well as the end to end trade lifecycle.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Strong PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
