Our Principal Finance Operations team in Macquarie Capital supports our global principal investment portfolio from early assessment through to divestment. We focus on clear reporting, data analysis, and operational excellence to help our business make informed decisions.
 
Principal Finance provides flexible primary financing solutions and engages in secondary market investing, across the capital structure. Operating globally in both corporate and real estate sectors, our team has experience across a variety of industry groups including real estate, infrastructure, telecommunications, media, entertainment and technology, leisure and healthcare. Our team operates globally through offices in Sydney, London and New York.

What role will you play?

As part of our middle office function, you will support the business by delivering timely and accurate portfolio reporting, analysis, and insights. You will work closely with our colleagues globally across Macquarie to help track business and portfolio performance, coordinate valuations process, and contribute to strategic business projects such as data transformation, capital and funding project. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with global exposure across a wide range of investment products and structures.

What you offer

  • A tertiary qualification in finance or accounting, with strong academic performance. Corporate Finance and/or Accounting is preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in banking, financial services, or professional services in a similar or related role
  • A solid understanding of financial, accounting and valuation concepts
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets, with strong Excel and presentation skills. Experience in data analytics tools such as PowerBI and Alteryx / Dataiku would be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team
