What role will you play?

The role will involve working with Compliance and Surveillance stakeholders, colleagues in technology, operations, and other business groups to assess and define requirements, undertake detailed analysis, as well as shape and deliver solutions which manage our external obligations and allow our Risk Management Group to effectively manage risk.

As a member of the Projects and Change team, you will be responsible for business analysis at all stages of the project lifecycle (from initiation to implementation), working to deadlines, delivering to scope and contributing to working group packs while maintaining an open dialogue with the team and communicating identified risks.

Salary range for this position: $162,000- $205,000/Yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.

  • Senior level experience as a business analyst in a financial institution, preferably within the Trade Surveillance domain
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work efficiently with stakeholders
  • Technical skills to include MS Excel and PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence, SQL knowledge
  • Compliance and risk knowledge
  • Also knowledge of equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial instruments.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
