What role will you play?

As a Data Engineering Lead, you will work closely with team of business and technology experts and collaborate with a strong peer network of technologists across our treasury function. Your work will be focused on providing technical leadership to the team and ensuring our delivery meets business and compliance objectives. In all that work the emphasis will be on providing a high performing and stable platform to meet business outcomes for internal and external stakeholders
What you offer

- Hands-on experience with traditional data technologies (relational databases and ETL tools) and modern data technologies.
- Advanced data engineering skills with strong experience using Spark, Hadoop, SQL
- Experience in data architecture principles, including data access patterns and data modelling
- Experience with data quality measurement and monitoring
- Previous experience of taking ownership of issues and driving resolution
- Familiar with cloud computing concepts (AWS) and Linux
- Experienced with DevOps approaches
- Strong background in Python; any other language is also a plus
- Familiar with finance concepts and trade valuation
- Experience of leading data engineers and data engineering teams would be ideal.
