The Risk Management Group Data Governance Team are responsible for implementation of the enterprise frameworks, standards and controls that ensure data used across Risk Management Group is accurate, well‑governed and fit for purpose. It adds value by enabling reliable data risk insights, supporting regulatory expectations, and strengthening the data foundations required for effective risk decision‑making.

What role will you play?

In this role you lead a high performing team across several locations to bring enterprise data under strong governance, ensure we meet Enterprise Data Management obligations and strengthen confidence in the quality, integrity, and oversight of key data assets. You will guide your team in bringing data under governance, identifying and documenting risks and controls, and navigating the intersections between data and model risk. You will also play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities to enhance processes and controls, lifting overall data governance maturity across the group.

Additionally, you will partner with a diverse range of stakeholders across Macquarie’s support businesses to assess data uses, identify risks and controls, and improve the way data is managed.

As a senior leader in the Risk Management Group’s data team, you will facilitate updates in divisional and group level forums and will collaborate with other group data offices to ensure alignment of approach and objectives.

  • Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams in a Data Management or Data Risk Management role
  • Strong business analysis skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage stakeholders, and deliver multiple streams of work
  • Relevant business, quantitative or IT degree qualification.
