You will be joining a team tasked with working alongside the Financial Management Group, finance and tax team in supporting Commodities and Global Markets in streamlining its tax obligations across our multi-jurisdictional platform while also advising on operating structures, indirect tax expenses, foreign tax credits and tax losses.

What role will you play?

Your responsibilities will include managing the tax aspects of transactions and providing a link between the various Commodities and Global Markets businesses, operations and Financial Management Group teams. This involves coordination of tax related approval processes and managing key stakeholders with respect to tax risks and costs. Once transactions are booked, you will retain ownership of the tax risk of transactions and be responsible for ensuring systems are generating compliant tax invoices, tax assets are booked and managed appropriately, and indirect taxes are being accounted for.

What you offer

  • Qualified accountant or lawyer with 7 - 10 years experience in tax risk management or tax accounting
  • Experience within the EMEA Financial Services industry or another large corporate organisation
  • Critical to this role is your ability to balance multiple tasks and assignments, successfully manage your own work in an autonomous environment and proactively take responsibility and ownership for issues impacting your own tasks
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and research skills, and have experience working in a virtual, global team. Your ability to manage cross-border relationships effectively and to comfortably work across different time zones is essential
