Join Macquarie’s Non-Financial Risk Governance team in the Risk Management Group Transformation and Operations division. This team supports the governance and effectiveness of Macquarie-wide policies and drives transformation to strengthen and streamline risk management frameworks and policies, enhancing consistency and effectiveness across our Non-Financial Risk Divisions.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will lead the governance and ongoing effectiveness of Macquarie-wide policies as well as the uplift of non‑financial risk policies, ensuring they are practical, easy to apply and effective in supporting teams who own and manage risk. You will interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, actionable policies and supporting guidance that can be applied consistently across the organisation. Working closely with policy owners and senior stakeholders, you will help align risk expectations between frontline teams and oversight functions. You will also support strong governance practices, contribute to senior management reporting, and play a key role in progressing policy and framework uplifts in a collaborative and considered way.

• Experience in policy development, regulatory interpretation and transformation programmes, ideally within risk, compliance, legal or consulting environments
• A strong ability to translate complex regulatory or technical requirements into clear, practical documentation that supports effective business decision‑making
• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders, with the confidence to influence, challenge constructively and build trust
• Comfort operating in environments with change and ambiguity, bringing clarity, structure and momentum to complex initiatives
• Excellent communication skills, with a clear, personable and pragmatic approach.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
